ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

South Florida Law, PLLC is actively seeking an Admi-nistrative Assistant.  Duties and Responsibilities include providing office management support and ensuring operational efficiency.

Daily Tasks:

  • Supporting attorneys in file organization, scheduling and day-to-day communication.
  • Reception and phone call management.
  • Archiving, retrieving and otherwise handling confidential and time sensitive material.
  • Coordinating the work of contractors (cleaners, marketing company etc) others.
  • Maintaining office common areas and liaising with building management.

Requirements:

  • Even-tempered under time pressure.
  • Great people skills.
  • Good time management.
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with law office preferred.
  • Fluent and professional written and spoken English.
  • Bilingual (reading and writing in Spanish, Creole or Russian) preferred.
  • Must have own transportation.

Compensation:

Up to $15 per hour (Mon-Fri 9 to 5)

PARALEGAL

South Florida Law is currently seeking a recently certified paralegal. The position is a permanent full-time employment opportunity with the firm.

Daily Tasks:

  • Supporting professional staff in file organization, scheduling and day-to-day communication.
  • Phone call management.
  • Archiving, retrieving and otherwise handling confidential and time sensitive material.
  • Client induction.
  • E-Filing.
  • Preparation of complaints, responses, appeals and motions.

Requirements:

  • Paralegal Certificate.
  • Able to thrive under time pressure.
  • Able to maintain strict professional confidentiality at all times.
  • Great people and time management skills.
  • Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent and professional written and spoken English.
  • Bilingual (including reading and writing in Spanish, Creole or Russian) preferred though not required.
  • Must have a strong desire to pursue a career in the legal profession.
  • Must have own transportation.

Compensation:

Up to $18 per hour (Mon-Fri 9 to 5)

ATTORNEY

South Florida Law is currently seeking a first-year attorney. The position is a permanent full-time employment opportunity with the firm.

Daily Tasks:

  • Joining the firm’s professional team as a producer of billable legal services.
  • Case management in the Real Estate, Business Law and Personal Injury practice areas.
  • Drafting, reviewing, archiving, retrieving and otherwise handling confidential and time sensitive documentation.
  • Preparation and filing of complaints, responses, appeals and motions.

Requirements:

  • Member of Florida Bar.
  • Able to thrive under time pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great people and time management skills.
  • Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective written and spoken communicator in English.
  • Bilingual (including professional-grade Spanish, Creole, Russian or Portuguese) preferred, though not required.
